We mainly provide editing and publication design services, but we also include some other offerings. See below!
Editing
Our editing services include everything from a quick proof of a one-page letter or memo to a thorough line edit of a large, multi-volume technical report. Our review includes checking the document for grammatical mistakes and usage consistency, checking the clarity of the content, and ensuring a consistent voice and tone. We work closely with our clients to make sure each project stays within its defined scope and that we achieve their specific goals.
Publication Design
Publication design differs from graphic design in that we mainly work with text-based materials. In other words, we don’t design logos but we can help you with that newsletter or brochure. This service is often offered in conjunction with editing if there is also content to be reviewed (for example, formatting the layout and appearance of a report). We can design a specific project or we can develop a template to be used for future pieces. We can revamp documents you already have or design something entirely new. Our most common projects are large reports and proposals, forms, and newsletters. If you have a bunch of text and aren’t sure how to put it all together, or even if you just have an idea, let us know!
Template Suite Design
The most powerful of our publication design offerings is template suite design. A template suite sets a company up with a series of predesigned formats for the documents they most commonly produce. They can then just add content to these templates each time they need a letter, proposal, report, etc. and have a professional document ready to go with little to no extra formatting work or support. Each template suite we design is developed in close collaboration with the client. We take the time to get to know their brand and make sure it is clearly articulated in each format. Our unique, custom templates are also more professional, easier to use, and less buggy than the free or preset options available — and our clients can always contact us directly if they have questions or need support. A template suite is a particularly ideal option for a small business or start up since the company can then easily maintain their documents themselves.

We also offer other services in coordination with our main editing and publications design offerings, if needed.
Document Preparation
We can help assemble and prepare large documents and reports. For example, we can compile a large report for a government agency, including appendices and other production materials, and prepare PDFs for electronic delivery. We often offer particular parts of the production process a la carte in coordination with our other editing services, for example designing a particular part of the hard copy (a spine and/or cover) or preparing the final PDFs. (Please note: These services are separate from our usual editing and can be time consuming, so please make sure you ask about them early in the process if you think you may need them.)
Training
We also provide software and productivity training to help our clients streamline their own publications process. We offer training with all of our template suites, and we can also do training for specific MS Office and Adobe applications or needs. Before setting up a training session, we always meet with the client to find out what their challenges and goals are and to design a training program that will best fit their needs.
